Struggles and difficulties come into the lives of every person. How do we find value in the experience of suffering? When pain enters our lives, rather than avoid or deny, we can face it and begin the process of accepting that we have no control, letting go, and grieving our losses. We will need to take time to reflect on what’s happening to us, and then act responsively and constructively to the circumstances we find ourselves in. As we move through this difficult process, we can start to shift our prospective and grow to appreciate the good things in our lives that remain. Ultimately, in embracing our hardships, we can gain strength, resilience, and wisdom.
