The Survivor’s Guide to Life Podcast is an extension of Dr. Peter Bernstein’s career: to help overcome the barriers people erect and the stigma they experience to face and work through pain and trauma. In an accessible, relatable format we offer tools and support to build resilience with empathy and maturity. Particularly for caregivers and first responders, professional skills and good intentions aren’t enough to sustain a career of helping others in hard times. Self-care and dealing with the emotional and physical effects of their work are essential to prevent burnout.
